Estimates, not assessments

Every calculator on this site produces an estimate. The results are generated by applying published rates to the figures you enter. They are not an official assessment, a tax computation certified by anyone, or confirmation of what you owe. Only the Inland Revenue Department, the relevant provincial office, or your employer’s payroll can tell you your actual liability.

Not professional advice

The calculators and guides here are general information for a Nepali audience. They are not legal, accounting, or tax advice, and they do not take account of your personal circumstances. Nothing on this site creates a professional relationship between you and us. For decisions that matter — filing a return, settling an employment payment, responding to a notice — consult a licensed tax practitioner or chartered accountant.

Why your real figure may differ

• Rates and thresholds change with the annual Finance Act and with provincial finance acts.
• Your employer may value non-cash benefits that the calculator has no way of knowing about.
• Income outside employment, or from more than one employer, changes the computation.
• Reliefs and exemptions specific to your situation are not modelled.
• Vehicle tax varies by province, and arrears or additional charges may be collected at the same counter.
• A typo in an input produces a confident but wrong answer.

Accuracy and updates

We take reasonable care to keep rates current and to cite official sources, and we correct errors when they are reported. Even so, we cannot guarantee that every figure is complete, current, or free of error at the moment you read it. Where our page and an official notice disagree, the official notice governs.

Downloadable reports

PDF reports generated on this site are a record of your own calculation for personal reference. They are not tax invoices, certificates, filings, or documents issued by any authority, and they should not be presented as such.
